About Four Corners
Overview
Four Corners is a Skill & Rhythm Event where players choose one of four colored corners before each round begins. A random color is then selected, and only the players standing in that corner must complete or survive the round challenge.
The event mixes luck, reaction, memory, movement, and risk-taking. Picking a safe corner can keep you out of danger, but if your color is chosen, you must be ready for whatever challenge appears next.
How to Play
At the start of each round, players choose one of the four available corners. Once the selection period ends, a random color is chosen.
Players standing in the selected corner are moved into the active challenge for that round. To survive, they must complete the challenge objective before time runs out or avoid being eliminated by the challenge mechanics.
Players who are not in the selected corner are safe for that round. They do not need to complete the challenge unless they choose to join it voluntarily.
After the challenge ends, surviving players continue into the next round. The process repeats with players choosing corners again until the event reaches a final winner.
Challenge Types
Four Corners can include several different challenge types. Each one tests a different skill, so players should be ready to adapt quickly.
Simon Says
Simon Says challenges players to follow the correct instructions while avoiding mistakes. Pay close attention to the exact wording before reacting.
Waterdrop
Waterdrop requires players to land safely in water after falling from above. Precision and controlled movement are the most important parts of this challenge.
Balloon Pop
Balloon Pop gives players infinite arrows and asks them to shoot glass blocks in the air for points. The targets may change location partway through the challenge, so players need to keep looking around and adjust quickly.
Meteor Run
Meteor Run requires players to survive multiple rounds by standing under safe Nether Brick Slab. Players must survive all 4 required meteor waves to complete the challenge.
Infected
Infected selects a random zombie from one of the safe players. The selected zombie is safe by default, but must try to tag another player. Any infected player who successfully infects someone else survives. Players who are not tagged survive. Players who are tagged and fail to infect someone else are eliminated.
Mega TNT Run
Mega TNT Run works like a larger TNT Run challenge, but without double jump boost. Players must keep moving, avoid falling, and survive longer than the others.
Beacon of Hope
Beacon of Hope requires players to stand on a beacon to be safe. The beacon moves after a short time, but players who miss the first beacon can still survive if they reach another one before the challenge ends.
Voluntary Challenges
Players who are safe can choose to participate in the active challenge by changing their corner to the participating one after the color is selected.
This gives no advantage toward winning the round, but it allows confident players to challenge themselves instead of waiting safely. If a safe player chooses to participate and fails the challenge, they can still be eliminated.
Voluntary participation is risky, so it should only be done if you understand the challenge and are confident you can survive it or want to challenge yourself. We welcome confident players, but make sure none of your friends are nearby if you fail. As we do not compensate for mental damage caused by family, friends or other players.
Win Condition
The winner is the last player remaining after the other players have been eliminated. Players can be eliminated by failing the selected challenge, losing a survival round, or choosing to participate voluntarily and failing.
Four Corners continues through multiple rounds until only one player is left.
Corner Locking
Depending on the player size at the start, one or more corners may be locked by default. As the player size decreases and rounds progress, another corner will be locked by random, until only one corner remains open. Forcing players into the same color makes the remaining players face off against each other until a winner is selected.
Tips
Choose your corner quickly, but do not panic. Since the selected color is random, the most important part is being ready to react if your corner is chosen.
Learn the different challenge types. The better you understand each challenge, the faster you can react when it appears.
If your corner is selected, focus on the challenge immediately. Wasting even a few seconds can make survival much harder.
Think carefully before joining a challenge voluntarily. It can be fun to take the risk, but there is no advantage if you fail and get eliminated.
Stay aware of the arena and other players. Some challenges involve movement, projectiles, or player interaction, so tunnel vision can quickly lead to mistakes.
Common Mistakes
One common mistake is assuming a safe round means you should stop paying attention. Even if your corner is not selected, the next round can put you in danger immediately.
Another mistake is joining voluntary challenges without understanding the objective. If you choose to participate, you are accepting the same elimination risk as the selected players.
Players also often react too slowly when their corner is chosen. Four Corners can switch from safe to dangerous very quickly, so be ready before the challenge begins.
