About Spleef

Overview

Spleef is a Classic Event where players battle for control of a disappearing arena floor. Unlike TNT Run, this is more PVP-focused rather then pure parkour, and blocks only disapear if other players break them with snowballs making it a more a chill-event, pun intended.

The event rewards quick movement, smart positioning, and awareness of the arena around you. As the floor gets more broken, every step becomes riskier, and players must balance attacking others with keeping themselves safe.

How to Play

At the start of the event, players spawn on top of the arena floor. Once the round begins, you can break blocks beneath or near other players to make them fall after collecting snow from breaking blocks with your shovel. Shoot with your shovel, or throw the snowballs directly from the hotbar like normal snowballs.

Your goal is to stay on the playable floor while forcing opponents into gaps. The longer the round lasts, the fewer safe areas remain as each layer eventually is removed as time goes on, making movement and positioning more important over time.

Win Condition

The winner is the last player remaining on the arena floor. Players are eliminated when they fall from the playable area and into the lava, either because another player broke the blocks beneath them or because they were clumsy and stepped into an unsafe gap.

If multiple players survive for a long time, the round continues until only one player is left standing as each layer is removed 1 by 1.

Tips

Keep moving, but do not sprint blindly across the arena. Fast movement can help you avoid danger, but careless movement can send you straight into a hole.

Try to break blocks around your opponents instead of only targeting the block directly beneath them. Cutting off their escape routes can be more effective than chasing them.

Stay away from heavily broken areas when possible. The fewer blocks around you, the harder it becomes to recover from a mistake.

Watch for players who are focused on someone else. These players are often easier to trap because they may not notice you breaking blocks nearby.

Use the remaining floor carefully near the end of the event. When only a few players are left, survival matters just as much as attacking.

Common Mistakes

One common mistake is chasing a player too aggressively. If you focus only on attacking, you may run into a gap or get trapped by another player while unfocused on your environment.

Another mistake is standing still for too long. A stationary player is much easier to target and can quickly lose the blocks beneath them, crouching may help hide your nametag visually, but won't make you completely invinsible.

Players also often ignore the condition of the arena around them. Even if no one is attacking you directly, a broken floor can leave you with no safe path if you are not paying attention.
